Innovative new learning hub, Western Sydney University – Fairfield Connect, to bring university even closer for the people of Fairfield
Western Sydney University is set to launch Fairfield Connect making university more accessible for the people of western Sydney and bringing it closer to where they live and work. Fairfield Connect will be located on the ground floor of Fairfield City Central in the heart of the region.
The hub will offer students and the community access to facilities including computers, high-speed internet, and advanced video-conferencing capabilities. It will be space where students from all levels of education can study or gather for group work. Moving forward, Western Sydney University will deliver valuable resources and support services for adult literacy, career development, and employability enhancement.
Facilities will be available to the local community where space may be utilised by local groups or businesses on a case by case basis. As Fairfield Connect is located inside Fairfield City Central, it is easily accessible from public transport and close to shops and eateries for user convenience.
Western Sydney University recognises the expanded potential Fairfield Connect brings to the region. Partnering with Western on Fairfield Connect is the University of Technology Sydney (UTS) and the University of NSW (UNSW). The three universities are committed to working together through Fairfield Connect, to boost higher education attainment in Western Sydney – one of the most socially, economically and culturally diverse regions in Australia.
